Short Answer
Out-of-state buyers can absolutely purchase a home in the Florida Keys, often without ever setting foot in Florida until closing. You will need to find a local agent, arrange financing or proof of cash, schedule inspections, and plan for a remote closing. The process is straightforward with the right local team.

I work with out-of-state buyers every week. The beauty of the Keys is that we can handle nearly everything remotely -- virtual tours, FaceTime showings, digital document signing. I recommend you plan one trip for the inspection period and another for closing, but I have had clients close sight unseen. Just make sure you have a local agent who knows the nuances of Keys properties because what looks good in photos can hide seawall issues or ROGO complications that only a local eye catches.
