How do Key Largo and Islamorada compare?

Key Largo is the first island from the mainland and offers more amenities, shopping, and dining variety. Islamorada is more spread out and is known as the sport-fishing capital of the world. Both offer excellent waterfront living but with different character.

Key Largo is the gateway -- more accessible, more activity-focused, great for divers. Islamorada is the fishing capital with a more relaxed, upscale feel. Both have excellent waterfront options. It comes down to whether you want to be near Miami or deeper into the Keys.
